The African assassin bug genus Neopirates Miller, 1952, is revised.The type species, N.nyassae Miller, 1952, is redescribed and illustrated; two new species from Namibia, N.bicolor Liu & Cai sp.

n.and N.xanthothorax Liu & Cai sp.n.
